What year intake for World S/R heads?
High all
What year range intake manifold do you use with the World products 305 S/R torker heads?
I have an an Edlbrock peformer RPM on an '82 Will it still fit with the World Heads?
Also are the world 305 s/t torker much better than a set of "601's with the same oversize valves? What do you think?

Car: 1989 Camaro
Engine: 350 but it's torn down right now.
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: I'm working on it,lol.
If your original heads were cast iron, then the intake should be just fine. As to your other question, I've never seen any data on the 601's, but I do like the 305 S/R Torquer heads.

The discussion has gone back & forth about the S/R 305's vs. 601/416's stockers. Both have "issues", I preferred the World issues over the factory issues.
Out of the box, the Worlds will not flow much better than stockers with 1.94" intake valves. With porting, the Worlds will gain a little more than the factory heads. What took me over the top was the additional cost of putting the bigger valves in the factory heads, replacing the guides in my used factory heads, replacing the springs, and doing something about the factory press-in rocker studs. I also was able to work over the Worlds while I drove the car with the stock heads, reducing down-time when I pulled the engine for the mods.
I found the Worlds to be of high quality casting (although my latest finding was a shallow exhaust bolt hole), easily ported, can accomodate either perimeter or center bolt valve covers, and no rocker stud hole protrosion into the ports. They also have a thicker deck to reduce the possibility of cracking.
If your stock heads need significant machine shop work, the cost is going to bring them close to new Worlds.
The Worlds can be ordered with either '86-earlier intake bolt pattern (042650), or '87-later (042750). -1 is the complete head.
