Something odd..
Started my car today and it seemed like the timing was way off, would hesitate quite a bit in the upper rpm's, along with shaking.. and lacked power. kinda like a limp home mode or something.. like if the ecm was dead or something
The ses light was on,.. went to scan it and it didn't blink or anything.. just stayed lit the whole time.. no 12's or anything
it does this like once a month or so, and normaly goes back to normal by the next day after sitting a little.. so it'd probably be fine tomorrow, but this is starting to **** me off a little..
I replaced the ecm back when my car was acting up last year which turned out to be a shorted injector.. , and i'm starting to think i got a bad ecm...
it's a 91 z28 with a 305 tpi & a 5spd. '
anybody have any idead what might be wrong if it's not the ecm?

already checked for that.. what gets me is that the ses light stays on, won't blink or anything.. even with the code scanner hooked to it, as if the ecm were fried or something.. seems like it is in the limp home mode..

i had a similar power loss problem, drop in power SIGNIFICANTLY, with dodge darts passing me.utterly humiliating.
i plugged the EGR (i had run a code 32) and all seemed fine, took the plug out, problem came back within days...took it in for a professional diagnostic, he plugged my EGR....try it
