Concept Camaro on C&D
Hello everyone,
I was at the local grocery mart strolling
thru the Magazines, when I spot a gorgeous
car on a Car & Driver Cover.
The New Concept Fbody Camaro..
that almost ensures that our carsare making
thier return to do battle with the retro Stang.
They even state since the reto stang hit B.I.G,
GM Pontiac may very well start up FireBird F-Body
car
It also states a 6.0L ls2 V-8 will be the next
powerplant, and a 6spd transmission on the horizon.
A car with vette power for under 30,000 dollars
The car, is beautiful, retaining the 1st gen look,
and adding everything else discovered in latter
years into it.
IF ANYONE, can track down some images from
Car & Driver, I dont have a scanner
we can get some pic's on the site.
Its "March 2006" issue

I seriously doubt it will come with an LS2. It will most likely come with one of the new variable valve timing pushrod "cam in block" motors. The LS2 will have trouble with emmissions and fuel economy when the Camaro comes out. The V8 motor will probably be something around the size of the current 5.3l with a performance SS version with a 6.0-6.3l. But then again this is pure speculation, alot can happen in the world in 2 years.
