i'm selling my car and one person who is interested sent me this PM
What do you think? I know nothing about big blocks.
Hey Man You wouldn't be willing to trade it for a almost complete big block 396 would ya? I have a set of finished heads 454 oval port I have a Forged crank already re ground .10 of the rods and .20 on the mains. And the block which has been glass beaded and it's had the cam bearings installed by the machine shop. The cam I have for it is a Mid torque cam its a comp cams .575 lift. If you want casing numbers just let me konw. the block has been bored up .60 over so its now a 408.5 ci. Let me know dude. If your not intrested in that. I'll have to wait to sell my truck before I'll have the cash. Hey unless you want to trade me for my taurus I have for sale..........LOL

Dustin, consider whether you are selling it for money or just to get rid of it.
If you have another project to throw that monster into, then go for it. But you are selling it to recoup money may not be a wise decision.
Good luck

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
What would you do with this other motor? Got another car to put it into? Money to spend on such a thing?
If not, then it's not the deal for you.
As far as what this other motor is "worth", that would depend on ALOT of things; like, the condition it's in (whether it needs rings and stuff like that), what heads they are (if they're late-model truck heads, they're devaluing the cast iron they're made of), and so on.
