stock 305 cam specs?
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the duration and lift figures for a stock 305 camshaft? I recall these being referred to as the peanut cam and I was curious just how small the stockers were? I have in mind the 1984 vinatage flat tappet. Thanks for any input.

How small the stockers are....
Let's just say, you could make them totally round, no lumps at all, with a little Clearasil or calamine lotion.

Read em and weep. Your LG4 cam is also the 86 LB9 one.

Thanks Sofa! I never knew they were that small! I ditched the original 305 and have a better 350 with a better cam in there now. I was thinking of rebuilding the old 305 for another low horsepower commuter type of application. As you said, the lobes are almost non-existant with those specs. Guess anything is an upgrade from there! Thanks for the info. Guess even 1.6 roller rockers won't help much with this one! Now it 's off to the aftermarket cam guys for some options. Again, thanks!
