LT1 rebuild help

can anyone recommend a good manual for rebuilding a lt1? This is only the second motor i've rebuilt (1st was a 67 vw) and i'm finding it a little overwhelming. Haynes and Chiltons are a little vague.

Re: LT1 rebuild help

You could try the Helm manual for the year of car it was in.
Specific to rebuilding an LT1? Hmm, 'fraid I don't know of any specific ones. Maybe see if a moderator can move this post to the LT/LS subsection of the Engine Swap forum, those guys might know more.

"How to" Rebuild LT1/LT4 Engines by Mike Mavrigian is an excellent book. You should be able to find it easily on-line or at Barnes & Noble, etc. Cost around $20 or less. The book covers a lot of the areas that are specific to the LT1/LT4 Gen II motors, that you should know about and plan ahead for, before starting your rebuild. I would recommend this book!!

Good luck
