PCV question

In the process of changing my valve cover gaskets i broke the breather on the passenger side. so i decided to make my car have 2 pcv valves. started it up. idles good, but i heard a hissing sound coming from my dipstick. pulled it out and felt a good suction on it. pulled out the vacuum guage and it reads 6" HG at the dipstick. I know about the trick of using a vacuum pump, so is this kinda doing the same thing? and my question is will it help or hurt anything on this high mileage motor?

Re: PCV question

You don't want 2 PCV valves, you want a PCV valve and a breather.

Re: PCV question

if you don't have a breather, it will blow the dip stick part of the way out & you'll have oil pump out of the dip stick tube at WOT. if you get the dip stick so it will stay in, you'll start leaking oil from the gaskets & main seals.
