Idle Problems
I shot a video to help you guys figure out what I'm talking about, here's the link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciXp-zVEr60
Basically, When I start the car, the idle hunts then calms down after a while. When I put the car in gear and stay on the brakes, like at a traffic light the car will start violently surging after a minute, I have to put the car in neutral to keep it from trying to lunge forward.
This is driving me crazy, someone please help me figure out what's going on here?
Thanks!
Justin

Re: Idle Problems
That's an odd one... Have you tried watching your fuel pressure while it's doing this? How old are your injectors? I'm leaning towards a fuel problem, but that's really only a guess at this point.

Re: Idle Problems
As far as I know my injectors are stock, but who knows. The Idle problems don't correspond with my fuel pressure, I ran with a gague on my windshield to make sure. When it starts surging bad enough, it starts to effect the amps out of the alternator.

Re: Idle Problems
have you cleaned the iac ,it acts like its dirty. pull throttle body off then unscrew the iac then undo all screws from plate on bottom of throttle body, get some carb or brake cleaner and clean iac passage, reassemble see what it does.later jimmy

Re: Idle Problems
I tried to unscrew that plate when I had my plenum off and all the screws are stuck, broke the head off one just trying to take that plate off, i cleaned out where the IAC sits, but can't get to the passage without having to drill out all the screws and re-tap them.
