This doesn't look right... Help?
I finally got my TCI throttle cable bracket and geometry corrector for an edelbrock intake/ carb with 700r4. Got it installed this afternoon, and the trans cable is off by almost an inch. Does anyone have any experience/ recommendations? It may drive this way, but I'm sure the trans will be out of adjustment. Did I install it wrong? Is it the wrong part?
Thanks for any and all help!

Based on that picture, dont drive the car like that, you will destroy the tranny. you may need another bracket that is going to locate the tv cable back that inch or so that you need to correct the cable tension. i have an adjustable bracket on my tbi with carb intake and i had to play with it a few times to get it adjusted right.

It looks like you need an adjustable tv cable. It appears to be the right brackets though.

It's hard to tell from the angle of the picture, but is there any chance there's enough clearance for the cables to be mounted on the carb side of that throttle bracket? If they can, it looks like the cables would line up.

Bunk.
The cable bracket needs to be in line with the throttle arm to avoid excess friction on the cable housing. The geometry needs to be correct through the throttle arm travel, and the cable adjusted for WOT position.

This is supposed to be the right bracket, and the arm is the geometry corrector. I'm really not sure what to do now, and I'm starting to get bummed that I can't drive the car. Do I need an adjustable bracket? If so, it's pretty crappy that I just paid $25 bucks for this one. Is it the geometry corrector that's throwing things off?
There is really no tension on the tv cable as it is. What is an adjustable tv cable anyway?
Grrr...

I thought all TV cables were adjustable. I've seen dozens that were, and none that were not. Anyway, I agree with 57 kid.
