I need a picture of starter gear and flywheel, how close are they??

Engine: 6.3L Megasquirted HSR
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.70 Posi 9 bolt
I need a picture of starter gear and flywheel, how close are they??

I'm still confused as to why my LT1 T56 flywheel is dangerously close to my GMPP mini starter in a rested state. I might be able to slide a piece of posterboard in between them, and it just looks way too close. I did crank it for a second or too, and it didn't seem to be engaging improperly or dragging. But it still just seems waay too close. Anyone have a pic that shows how far the bendix sticks out towards the flywheel? The starter is made for an SBC, but I think I remember seeing on JEGs that it's listed as an LT1 starter as well.
