MAF delete?

Car: '88 Iroc-Z z28 Camaro
Engine: Carb 355
Transmission: t5 5-speed
Axle/Gears: 4.11
MAF delete?

I got an 88 Iroc and im always seeing other high year Iroc's with a deleted maf sensor, how is this possible? wat do i need to do to accomplish this? should I do this? Thanks for all the help

85-89 TPI cars use a MAF sensor. 90-92 TPI cars use a MAP sensor mounted on the side of the plenum, not a MAF sensor. You're probably seeing 90-92 TPI cars, right?

You can convert your system to a 90-92 style by following the tech article on this website.

It really depends on your situation. Do you want to get rid of the MAF for looks, or for tuning reasons?

Swapping to the 90-92 speed density setups can be expensive.
