Inside car pretty hot

Hello All.
Having removed my stock cast iron intake and carb,I replaced them with a older edelbrock intake(sp2-p) and a edelbrock 600 cfm carb. This was my first attempt at this and made a few mistakes.First having put everything back together and the car not starting,I totally forgot to put the oil sending unit back on creating a oil leak.
What a idiot.I fixed the problem with the car not starting( thanks to Randy).Once I get the car started,I notice that the oil gauge is maxed all the way.Could be I dont have the wire completely on the oil sending unit? The one thing i have noticed now is that once the car is running, the temp inside my car has increased alot.Temp gauge is working okay.Any ideas?

Re: Inside car pretty hot

Yes, the wire to your OP sender is not on right. As for the heat, you may have left the vacuum line off the heater hose diversion valve making hot water run through the heater core all the time (depending on what year your car is, which you don't mention).
