Help selecting cylinder heads

Well... My lil' 355 blew a head gasket.

So... I figure that since I'm going to pull the motor to replace that, might as well take the opportunity to replace the dart iron eagles with some aluminum heads.

I want to:
-Get bare castings (motor is fresh, I will reuse everything off the heads I have)

That means a head that is set up for a 2.02" intake valve (Should be in the 200cc ish intake range right?)

I have this cam: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-12-212-2/
1.6 ratio rockers, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, Dyno Don's headers, Holley 750 DP. This combo put me at about 450 horsepower & lb-ft with the above heads (200cc dart iron eagles) at just under 6,000 RPM. I'm happy with where it's at since I do drive it on the street, although it's only a "toy", but I wouldn't mind a bit more power either.

It's just about worth it to me to get aluminum heads only for the weight savings, but they have to flow at least as well as those did. I don't mind having to do some minor porting, but I would prefer staying away from anything TOO major.

Like I said, I'm looking to keep the price reasonable by getting bare castings, but there are so many to choose from. Which ones are my best bet?

Sorry for rambling, but I just wanted to make sure there was enough info so that you could help me make an informed choice
If you need any other info please say so, thank you

Re: Help selecting cylinder heads

Sorry if my first post wasn't clear. I've pretty much narrowed my choice down to Dart's Pro 1 aluminum, RHS Pro Action or maybe Brodix IK 200 series heads (All of these have a 200cc intake runner)

Trick Flow's 195cc Super 23 heads look nice too, but are a little spendy.

I wouldn't mind spending more money on AFR's, but they don't offer their heads bare (Technically they do, but they won't CNC them at all or anything, kinda defeats the point right?)

What looks like my best option? Like I said, I don't mind some porting/polishing but I don't want to have to go overboard.

Can I ask what kind of power you're making, and at what RPM's?
And did you port these at all, or just run them out of the box?

Re: Help selecting cylinder heads

out of the box

355, 10.5 to 1, RPM Air-gap, 650 DP, Full roller rockers, Lunati solid cam 244/249@50, .565/.543

never been on a dyno. But it will scream. I have it in my s10. She really starts pulling good and hard from 3500-6500. I usually shift it at 6800

Re: Help selecting cylinder heads

Should have just looked at your sig haha.

I'm leaning toward the Darts... never heard anything bad about them except from the people who won't spend any less than $1,500 on heads. Sure you get what you pay for, but the Darts should be plenty for me. I'll probably just clean up any blemishes and leave the porting at that.

Kinda off subject... a 200cc head should be capable of supporting up to about 500 horsepower N/A if the rest of the combo can take it there right?

Re: Help selecting cylinder heads

I'm still curious about the RHS heads though, what's the word on these? I haven't heard much about them and the price has me intrigued. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-12024/
