trying to make a nasty mud motor out of 290 horse gm crate

first of all this is going in a 68 chev. 3/4 ton. 37inch irok's, play and pull people out of mud and etc..

i looked the part # up on jegs for the motor. it is #809-10067353.
basically a low comp 350, but is 4 bolt and has decent rods. pistons are cast

this motor comes with 76cc heads and has 8.5;1. i need this at or above ~11:1. i will swap pistons if i need to as this is a brand new motor sitting in garage and will need no machining to swap. i will leave bottom end alone except i have arp rod bolts going in. should hold 6500 ok.

the cam i have investigated for me is http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...?csid=236&sb=2

the power band will be small but i should get a hell of a torque curve out of the 106 ls. i do not care about drivability as this is a toy..

other parts already purchased

225cc patriot heads 64cc (i know big but going for max effort, and got a deal)
rpm airgap port matched to heads, 1 1/2" open spacer
1 3/4 3"collector headers, bullets
msd hei
6al
750 hp holley
truck has 4.56 gears and a truck trans. (sm420 for those who know, granny gear 4 speed)

any other recommendations??

please don't anyone tell me to get a vict. jr. this will not help this motor unless i spin 7000

Missoula my hometown.

Don't know much about the mud motors but with the heads and intake
setup you have and the pistons and so so rods think they would be
the weak link.

6500 and up going to put a hurt on cast.
64,s cut down should get you into the high tens.

Snowing yet
