casting numbers
Hey all,
Don't know if anyone else has noticed this but I did an oil change on my car
the other day and shined a light inside (where the valve cover oil cap is to see if I could see if there was any sludge build up and noticed a bunch of numbers.
I am guessing it is the head casting number (14101083). I checked on the
website http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm to see if the number shows
up on the list and sure enough it does.
This helps me out cause in a month I was planning on changing the stock
heads. I really didn't want to take off the valve cover to look for the numbers.
Anyhoo, to all those looking for the casting number, this is an easier way
to check, at least on my 1990 gta.
