Fuel pump Help!

Ok i have a 406 SBC that should put out at an area around 550 HP and i need to know what kind of fuel pump(preferrably mechanical) I should get. I dont know much about fuel pumps so maybe you all can even spec me out one or just tell me what i need to look for.

Carter M6900, or a Carter M4891 with an external bypass regulator.

Wow thanks again for the 2nd time haha.. last question though carbed engines dont need alot of Fuel PSI do they?

No. But they need volume, especially a higher horse motor.

Too much fuel pressure on a carb is a bad thing, the floats can't control the fuel level in the bowls and they flood. Around 6 PSI is about normal, much more than that and problems start.
