Re: HELP!!!!
Have you checked your O2 sensors yet? 44 is O2 lean. The engine will run fine when it's cold because it's in open loop and not using the O2 sensors for tuning because they take time to warm up to operating temp. Once the engine and o2 sensor(s) have warmed up it will go into closed loop. Closed loop uses the O2 sensors in combination with other sensors to supply the ECM with information about how the cars running. The black smoke you are getting is an overly rich condition. Check the O2 sensor(s) or just replace them. Should be only 19$ each. If the ECM sees a bad O2 sensor saying the engines running lean, it's going to respond by adding more fuel to keep the engine from detonating. This causes the engine to run very rich and produce the black smoke you are seeing.
Code 35 is most likely a result of this as well. 35 is: Idle speed can not be set to desired RPM. The ECM has a desired RPM programmed into it. It trys to keep the engine at this certain speed while idling. If the mixture is off (to rich) there's a possibility the ECM wont be able to keep the idle at that desired rpm.
End conclusion: New O2 sensor(s)
Also, I would double check your timing once more to make sure everything's perfect!
