89 IROC

89 IROC
So I'm lookin at this 89 IROC a guy in the area has. It's been sitting for a little over 6 months and he'd taken the tbi system off in hopes of putting a carb on but never got around to it. Do you guys think this would be a good investment/easy to get started and running? I'm new to older cars (I've rebuilt my 98 Monte Carlo from the ground up but this is wholly new ground for me). Are there any big problems with these cars sitting? And could I get the tbi system back on and her running in a day?
Thanks!
David.
Thanks!

Re: 89 IROC
Only problem I had with my 92 RS that sat for "four years" was rust and the car took a few seconds to turn over.

Re: 89 IROC
If it was going to be quick and easy, the guy selling it would have done it. Why else would he be taking the loss in value of a running car vs. 'that'.
