Nasty Belt Squeaking.
I have a 2.8l and its squeaking like mad.. The belt is fairly new, and the arrows on the tensioner match up.
But it squeaks really bad.. Just to test it, i sprayed wd40(I know it will make it louder) on the pulley of the air pump and the squeaking stopped immediately. Obviously a few seconds later it came back and much worse.
Now because I feel like a moron driving around town with an ear piercing squeal, I was wondering if anyone knew what I could do to fix this.
Thanks

If it’s as loud as you imply it sounds like it’s seized, or at least is turning with too much resistance.
Remove the belt then turn the A.I.R. pump by hand.
It should turn easily.
