hissing, HELP!!!!!


when i was accelorating in my camaro, it would hiss, but when i stop there would be no hissing.... help??

Maybe you have an angry snake stuck under your car? Ok, J/K!

You probably have an exhaust leak. Have a friend who is wearing a glove(s) Plug your exhaust while you listen. Should make it more obvious and easier to hear.

it was coming from the driver side an almost sounded like a tire defalting

vacuum leak. sure its not from under the dash? i had my heater control diaphragm go bad and it hissed forever. was annoying cause it got louder when you got on it.

Could be a vacuum leak . Get an assistant to sit in your car and open your hood to listen for the sound right as your assistant turns the motor off. You should be able to hear a sucking, or hissing sound as the motor dies.
