I was wondering what the secrect is to get to the distribtor nut on the intake loose to adjust my timing the car is a 89 formula L98 TPI I have distributor wrenches but the only place ia can get the wrench to fit i have no room to loosen the nut i hit the fuel rail any tricks or suggestions thanks

If you have an offest distributor wrench you should have no problems

i do it seems that when i get it on the bolt i have no place to turn it the wrench hits the fuel rail whats the best way to go after the bolt

Remove the coil, it will give you more room. 2 bolts.

If it's never been loosened before it can be tough to break it loose. Liberal doses of penetrating oil (PB Blaster) overnight can make the job a lot easier. Most quality distributor wrenches can be wiggled in from several angles to get at it. And removing the coil will definitely get you extra room on that side.

I use a 3" and a 6" extension with the round tips so they swivel around the obstacles.
