question on part under the hood???

question on part under the hood???
hey guys, can anyone tell me what this blck box is that the arrow is pointing to.. it has two hoses vacuum size going to the pass side of this box, one hose goes throught the firewall..

That's the early style vacuum reservoir for the hvac controls.
