Re: 91 fuel pump trap door
mine is a third gen...I would remove the carpet and look at the current position where the sending unit is located...its pretty close to what is shown....or do some searches for 3rd gen trap doors on this forum and thirdgen.org, ls1tech.com, firebirdnation.com

Re: 91 fuel pump trap door
They won't, hence the need to cut the lines & add connections to the hard lines. Typically the entire tank is dropped one last time to do the hard lines connections so that dropping the tank isn't needed again. There has been some people successful in cutting the lines through the "small" hole & doing the disconnects without dropping the tank, but I don't know how they are accomplishing that.

Re: 91 fuel pump trap door
My plan is to cut the fuel lines at the sending unit area AND under the car, then replace those lines with braided steel fuel lines and AN fittings. That should enable me to, if I need to replace the pump, just open the panel, disconnect the lines and pull the sending unit out. Easy, peezy- lemon squeezy!
