convert msd magnetic distributor to HEI for holley Terminator efi
I just purchased the holley terminator efi and I want the computer to control the timing. In order to get it to control the timing I need a gm small cap HEI type of distributor.
My current set up is a msd billet distributor, msd 6al ingnition box and msd blaster 2 coil.
From what I understand I can still use my msd 6al ignition box with the ecu controlling the timing. Since I already purchased the msd points distributor ($300), I would like to try to convert it or maybe I am better off buying a new gm small cap HEI distributor?
So am I better off buying a gm small cap HEI distributor, or converting my distributor, which I'm not even sure is possible? Would performance change between the two in terms of how hot the spark is?
So I think I the proper set up is HEI distributor > ecu > 6al box > coil > spark plugs.
