What valves (size) are you planning to run in these heads?You cannot run 2.02/1.60 on a 305,they will hit the side of the bore.Milling the heads down will only increase this problem.

From an article I posted: 387 hp/305 the AFR heads were shaved to get 58cc chambers [didn't say how much] and the valves were cut to 1.99/ 1.55,block was over bored .030. You might want to contact AFR .

Why not give Airflow Research a call and see what they recommend? You may be better off with 180s with smaller valvues, depending on you intended build-up. The 180s flow very well and the Competition Ported version supposedly outflow "regular" AFR 195s. But the smaller port size of the 180s promotes high velocity which is better to promote torque for smaller motors, while still giving large flow for high rpms.
