Car hasnt started in 12 years trying to get it to run finally!
Hey thirdgen, been here for awhile now and still have the same camaro that wont run partly due to lack of skill and sometime just pure lazyness, so ill get to a quick backstory and tell you whats up.
me and my father did an engine swap on my 86 camaro to change out the standard 305 to a 350 nothing fancy, after we swapped the motors, put it all back together we swapped my ECM for my dads 86 vette ECM and turned the key fired up! but after a minute or 2 it died and this is where its get dark, after swapping ECM's buying a new one, taking it to a specialist who still had the computer to read the ECM (he didnt have the time to work on it, or maybe didnt want to) we got it back and it sat ever since, just last week i swapped the ECM wiring harness and for another one that i bought from one of the members here. So I have some issues and a couple questions,
after swapping the harness i dont seem to have any injector pulse(used a noid light to check) I also dont have any fuel pressure ( I pulled the fuel filter off and turned the key to see if i was getting gas and nothing) and my service engine light doesnt come on at all so im kind of lost. I replaced all the fuses even the one for the ECM next the battery and I checked to see if i had power to the computer and there is, any suggestions on where to go from here would be much appreciated ! let me know if you have any questions

First thought would be that the corvette ECM would have VATS programmed into the tune. Your Camaro never came with VATS so it doesn't have the key reader nor does it have the starter relay. Meaning it'll crank but until the ECM is happy, you won't get fuel pressure and injector pulse. This can be defeated with a chip with VATs disabled or...you didn't say what the orignal 305 came with TBI/TPI but if it was TPI, I'd just use the 305 memcal for troubleshooting purposes.

I was gonna put that in there but forget to, it's TPI and we came to that conclusion too, but even after switching back to the 305 computer it wouldn't start, small side not I could plug in a computer from an old C10 and it would start not run well but start
