broken fan switch, any possible problems?
Well a while ago the fan switch broke off of the block, the wire and connector held onto the little black part that comes out of the switch. all that is in the head is whats left of the sensor. my fan comes on (when i turn my ac on full blast) and my car temp doesnt move up when the fan is on. i ran it at the track a couple of days ago and didnt do too bad, and im thinking it doesnt cause any problems, but im not sure so im asking. also, that thing looks like a serious PITA to remove.

It isn't a problem if your car doesn't overheat. Mine has been disconnected for over a year, but run to an in dash toggle switch. I've never had to use it, either. Just keep track of the wire that was connected to it in case you want to connect it later.

I changed mine not long ago and found it quite simple and worth the effort. Without it you will not have automatic operation of the Fan and to me that was the PITA.
I have a Toggle switch aswell, but you have to remember to turn it on, and off.
I just happen to have my old one on the bench and its's 13/16", like the spark plug socket.
Do it.
