IROC vs VR6
Anybody know what a 2000 VR6 would run in the quarter. He only has cold air and maybe exhaust. He wants me to meet him next weekend and the local ***** hangout, and run him and probably some of his other friends. My mods are in my sig.

if im thinking of the right car,the mitsubishi 3000gt vr6,then they are twin turbos 3.0 V6 all wheel drive, which means he'll have no trouble launching and i think they run mid-high 13's stock. But if he ups the boost then youre dead.My friends got one of those, theyre freakin amazing.

Nah the car this guy has is a Volkswagen VR6. I think it's a version of the Jetta or something like that. My bad I should've been more specific. Trust me I wouldn't even think of messing with a 3000GT VR4 Turbo until I have many, many more mods.

I raced one at the track in my lincoln on wednesday he ran a 15.8 and after talking to him found out he had full exhaust, cold air intake, and a chip. I ran a 15.8@91 on that run also but my .513 r/t to his 1.13 r/t made it look like i beat him by a buslength or so. I say you've got this one in the bag.

I beat on my friends 2000 VR6 GTI, with intake and exhaust. This is on the street though. He might have me if we were on the highway. This is all with my IROC. He say's he'll try the malibu when he puts in a turbo. They're ballzy motors though. Watch out for the guys that swap new VR6's into the older body styles. The new GTI's weigh about 3000lb's. The old ones are closer to 2000lb's.

I agree that you have this one in the bag.
Dont be surprised when you see him gaining back ground top end. Those VR6/5 speed cars are good on the highway and like rpm (unlike LB9's).
But you should be well ahead by the time he starts to get into his sweet spot (I'd say a good 5 lengths minimum). If its your friend you are racing, go from a 60mph roll for ***** & giggles. It'll be a more even race.
