Obviously it has the twin turbo V10 and RWD conversion. It's only a TRUE viper edition if it has the 3' round wing and blue/white racing stripes. I'd stay away, those are low 12sec cars from the factory and respond VERY well to mods.

There is no v-10 Neon! lol No Viper edition either
BUT
The SRT line from dodge is about to debut. Just saw the commercial for the stratus SXT and it looked badass!
SRT is the equivalent of SVT for ford
I've seen pics of the Dodge Ram SRT-10 lowered with 20" rims, huge brakes and the Dodge viper motor and 6-spd. Awesome looking truck! Also, the Dodge neon SRT is gonna be a 4-banger turbo with over 200HP..what ford SHOULD have done with the SVT Focus.

Dodge needs to stop screwing around with these stupid cars like neons, and stratus, and rams, and actually make a muscle thats under $30K to compete with the Mustang and Corvette. Would of been also TA and Camaro, but we all know what happen with ****.

Neon's and Stratus's aren't worth the time and day, Then again, I drive a Dodge Shadow ES but that car is fast and reliable and I can take it anywhere in the snow. Dodge needs to do something and fast

Dodge is making a new muscle car I think. It debuts in 2005 as the Dodge challenger or charger. It will be pushing 350 hp out of a 5.7 hemi. It's been in the magazines for a while.

i can't stand dodge, but offering a turbo'ed neon WITH a warranty? they aren't totally stupid. I don't like that looks of their cars but dodge is at least taking a step in the performance direction for once.
Hate the neons all you want but the turbo model WILL but a hurtin on some V8 fbodies...

I'm in no way defending the Neon, cause they're hideous looking, but at least dodge is doing something performance wise

lol, sure why not a cavy SS, they already have a V6 Impala SS.
I think the Charger idea was scrapped, but I think the new 5.7L Hemi is going into the Ram soon.
Neons will never be fast, but they will always be gay.

Gotta tell u this guys, My friend Amy has a 1997 Plymouth Neon Expresso 4 door red with the 2.0 SOHC. Ok get this, She put on a intake and she lowered her car and it hits up so freaken bad, And she put on some kinda exhaust that makes it sound like a freaken bumblebee in heat!!! And the other day she put on some huge double decker wing, I asked her if a bird ever perched on it, She got pissed at me and smacked me LMFAO! Anywayz, She let me drive it and I punched, There is absolutley no power there what so ever. NONE! My girlfriend raced her last night in her 2002 Cavalier LS Sport with the 2.2 Ecotec engine and my girlfriend kicked the **** out of her sooo bad it was funny!!!. Ya had to be there to see it.

What do you mean there is a SS cavy I see them all the time they look stock but have a SS hood. *** I hate people. Isnt chevy coming out with a turbo cavvy pushing like 220hp?
#21
It wouldn't matter anywayz, Cavalier's are scrap regardless, My g/f just had to take her's back to the dealer for a sunroof leak and a Check Engine light and the car has 4100 miles on it!!! JUNK!

There is a rumor that Saturn will be putting a turbo on the 4 cyl L series. (2.2 Ecotec) I talked to my field service engineer (spelling?) and he hinted the idea is in the works but wouldn't really talk about it. Saturn raced a 2.2 turbo L in the Cannonball and it was making 240hp.

My buddy has an older Z 24 cavy. I rode in it, it has *****. It has a 3.1 L MPFI 24 valve V6. The car can't weigh more than 3000 pounds and that motor moves it right along. It also has a working cold air hood. I still think it sucks but I respect it a lot.

( my gfs lil brother wrote a report on it) i bet him that dodge did not make a car called the razor.... well i gave him all my pokemon cards cus he proved me wrong. if u guys think im bsing ill ask him for the site later.

Chevy just needs to get with the program and start an in-house performance division of their own. SLP doesn't exactly fit that bill (not knocking their work, however.) SVT is the best example, because lots of the work they do ends up trickling down to the other models in their lineup (the SVT Contour springs to mind) There isn't really a chevy vehicle right now I would really care to see hot-rodded, except their truck line, MAYBE the Cav, but it would be great to see something like that in operation when (crossing fingers) the F-body resurfaces. Mr. Lutz, are you listening?

Car: Check The Sig
i saw the charger in motor trend not to long ago... they were talkin about a 6.1L hemi.. they said it will replace the intrepid, i kinda forgot the rest of the story... they had some pics of the car... looked mean! anyway... someone told me that the viper is gunna be done away with along with the f-bodies... i dunno?
#30
Viper's aren't big sellers because of how much they cost, 70,000 dollars is alot of money, Even though an SS Camaro cost 35,000.
I didn't hear about anything replacing the Intrepid but I did hear in 2004 that something was replacing the Neon!!!

true, most 70K cars aren't big sellers, lol
i'm not a huge fan of the vipers, don't get me wrong they're cool and all, but i'd rather spend less on a ZO6 and mod

part of the reason they have the SRT-10
cheap fast reliable car
and IMHO it should be better looking then a shadow
though the shadows are a good snow car I will say that
what is the neon they have that is the step up from the base already out
it is N/A with dual exhuast tips... about the only thing I know
#34
hell yea the Shadow is a good snow car, I park my Camaro for the winter and drive the Shadow, 6 inches of snow 1 time a week is normal around here for winter, I will go anywhere with that car

What happened to that Turbo V-6 in your camaro?
That was you that was on the V-6 board bragging about your car right?
That's the cleanest Shadow I've ever seen, looks like a picture right outta Motor Trend! You must not run your front plate out in Pennsylvania either?
More different board.................

oh boy here we go again... get the flame suit on..... ok im ready... well, i that that putting a R/T on such a slow car like it is now is like putting a "Z" or a "SS" badge on something like a chevy cav. i know they havent done the SS thing... yet.. but why is everything a Z this Z71, Z24, Z66, i know what it is... but ever since the Z28 had been out... every chevy car or truck has taken it... the Z28 means something... when u cloud it up with cars like the lumina, cav, new monte's, and trucks... it looses its meaning i think... wow i talked a lot... aight ill stop... thats just my .02cents

A 15-second stock Shadow?! TOTAL . Do they have some kind of weird metric time measurement where you live? Or are you measuring in minutes? Seriously, this board needs an Ignore function.
And with that, here comes the lock.

Chevy should have a performance division of its one
Yeah, here it is:
GM Performance Division: Full Speed Ahead
Integrated Team To Lead Passion to The Showroom
Warren, Mich. - General Motors has built high-performance vehicles and automotive parts through its many brands for decades. The technological advancements of Cadillac and the power and performance of the Chevy SS and Pontiac GTO brands are just a few examples.
The newly formed GM Performance Division will develop and build performance variants of cars and trucks for the Cadillac, Chevrolet, and Pontiac brands.
"For the first time, all of the expertise will be harnessed within one passionate group," said Mark Reuss, GM Performance Division's executive director. "GM Performance Division is made up of a group of enthusiasts dedicated to delivering must-have vehicles."
The entire team is based at the GM Technical Center in Warren, Mich., and is staffed with 1,000 engineers, designers and technicians.
"Our mission is to bring back the GM nameplates around great performance and design," said Reuss, who also oversees vehicle architecture engineering for GM. The architecture group works across the GM Product Development organization concentrating on portfolio integration in the areas of packaging, assembly, engineering and manufacturing.
The GM Performance Division includes second-stage and one-off production vehicles, concept vehicles, parts and accessories for automotive enthusiasts, and high-performance models sold through GM dealers. The organization also strengthens the links between GM Powertrain, GM Engineering and GM Service Parts Operation and creates a training ground where young engineers can learn from and work side-by-side with GM's experienced, performance experts.
The GM Performance Division is led by an experienced team of enthusiasts, including John Wiley, director of second stage and specialty vehicles; John Heinricy, director of high-performance vehicle operations; Mike Liedtke, director of engineering for concepts and show vehicles; and Kip Wasenko, director of design.
The Vehicle Architecture group receives direction from an experienced core unit of individuals, including Gary Edwards, director of the vehicle architecture center, Lee Visci, director of vehicle architecture body-frame integral, Steve Ballentine, director of vehicle architecture body-on-frame, Richard Dichtel, director of vehicle architecture design; and Mark Farmer, director of vehicle architecture competitiveness.
"The total team is made up of people who live and breathe cars and trucks," Reuss said. "They have proven track records working in the vehicle development organization, and are well respected both inside and outside of GM.
"We have people who are passionate about building cars and trucks. I believe GM Performance provides a halo effect for each of our brands and for the entire corporation."
