1989 Camaro RS vs. 1988 Camaro iroc
Okay, my friend and I have been joking with eachother about who would win between us in a race. He has the '89 RS, with the V6 powerplant, his mods so far is magnaflow catback, and a hypertech chip, also its a manaul. My 88' camaro is completely stock to the filters, its a 305 TPI, with a manual too, not a g92 optioned car. We both have just street radials, so we both have tration problems. Do you think I can take him theoretically? I don't really plan to race him right now because my clutch needs work, so i would just like to get an idea of where we both stand, as far as bragging rights between us. thanks for the help guys

its just the clutch could use some work, kind of worn down somewhat, but that's another issue. I thought that since it was stock, i mean like without a new filter that it just might be a little choked up, and his exhaust lets it breathe a little better than mine so, that's what comes to mind. He thinks his car has a good chance because he walked on a S10 pickup truck?? i dunno how fast those are but i hope mine is faster.

a 2.2 S10 i could see yes because i own onea 4.3 Vortec S10-No

man no need to even ask that. In stock form with a auto you'll take him. Throw in the fact that you have a 5 speed. Hell give him a 5 second head start to make it interesting. He'll get owned BAD. Then you can make him pick up all the burnt tire rubber you left behind. lol.
