"within reason" what part of smoking your tires and doing burnouts can you call within reason????

FACT: I was in the vehicle when my friend was given a ticket for spinning his tires in his own driveway. Yes they can do it. Because it is in sight of the road.
FACT: Parking lots are treated just as a roadway. All signs must be observed, and turn signals must be used. Any infraction in a parking lot is a moving violation. Period.

I realize this is carrying over from other threads, but
I dont think so.
no close chamber 882s
Flat tops making 11:1 with 76cc POS heads? I doubt it.
I also doubt the dyno numbers you presented.
750 double pumper cfm edelbrock carb
882 2.02 1.60 valves close chamber ported and polished
11:1 Forged Flat Pistons
I also doubt the dyno numbers you presented.

Sorry, but I cant handle posers and liars, and you seem to represent both all in one package. What about that crap in your sig and the fake dyno crap??

I've already seen your repost, was this the second or third repost? Besides, you already admitted that you lied about it in the first place. Still ignoring the question about the in your signature though, huh?

i didnt know edelbrock made a 750 double pumper carb????.....lol.....
#66
Not talking about your dyno numbers, I was referring to these elusive "close chamber 882's", double pumper edelbrock, and 11:1 flattops w/76cc heads. Sounds to me like you read a lot of magazines and stick the crap in your signature.
#68
The point is, that stuff is fake dude, just like your dyno sheet. Edelbrock doesnt make a double pumper, there are no close chamber 882's, and you arent gonna get 11:1 out of flattops with 882's. You are lying plain and simple. You lied about your numbers, got called on it, TWICE! Then you post up a dyno sheet with the numbers backwards. Just give it up man.
#71
Way to change your signature real quick Thats pathetic man. Why dont you just face up, post what you really have, and then people will leave you alone. What are you gonna change next? Honestly as long as you have 882 in the equation, most people are still gonna throw the flag at you. With good reason.

It's beyond me as to why anyone in this day and age would want a closed chamber head anyway. All that a closed chamber head is going to do is restrict airflow into the cylinder. Every aftermarket head made today has an open combustion chamber (at least all the ones I can think of).

I knew when this clown posted his first dyno that it was crap. Then came the signature. Edelbrock double pumpers, closed chamber 882's, etc. Then he changed the signature after I posted. Kinda funny really. I stand by my first call out, he read a bunch of crap in a magazine, and put it in his sig.

Remember, it's not what you have that counts, but what you're going to have that really matters. Maybe his mods are the planned stuff, and he only has a bone-stock 2nd-gen car. Or, he bought it like that and he's trying to figure out all that chrome and stuff under the hood and got really confused. Or third, he's a poser, pure and simple. I'll simply shrug, it's not like I've seen his car before, and even if I did, I probably wouldn't know what I was looking at.

Point taken, and it's fun to read for a good laugh. Great way in how not to act serious. My viewpoint is that if you want people to listen, have the decency to talk to them using the proper format, either written or spoken. Improper use of words, butchered grammar and casually throwing around acronyms doens't get me to notice a post as nearly as a well-written one.
But then again, I'm not somebody most people would bother talking to, especially if you have a question pertaining to a third-gen. I try to type my messages so people don't have to struggle through the short-hand and the raped grammar.
EDIT: Judging from the responses to this thread, I assume that the LG4 is a pretty low output V8 and if I should have one drop in my lap, so to speak, I shouldn't even bother with it. However, if the recipient car was a V6, (like my beater) I would do the swap, as even the LG4 would be a big difference over the anemic LB8 it has now. I hope my L98 car never ever loses to an LG4, unless I simply didn't know I was supposd to be racing!
Another edit, slight spelling errors, DOH!

Ha, my LB8 is a piece of garbage, but it starts up quick enough. I'd be suprised if i could run an Iron Duke and win. My L98 has just over 100k on it, pulls pretty strong and will put you into the seat with a quickness, but the whole thing is stock so the thing dies off after 4500 or so. I can hardly wait to stroke it out and stuff some go-fast emissions-legal goodies into it, but alas, that all takes a lot of money to do right. If the chance arose, I'd take an LB9 for my beater if the price was right, along with a five-speed. As it is now, I'm just going to get rid of it and cut my losses on the whole thing.
And yes, I understand that you can take ANY motor and mod it out, it just takes money and brains. It makes more sense, however, to mod a motor that has more potenial, but some people have to work with what they have and for whatever reason, can't afford the better base.
