I was driving to work and came accross one... we were coming up to a toll he gave me the look... i needed change so he just left me behind... i caught up to him and revved my engine at him... we ended up racing...
If i remember correctly the 300c srt8 have 425hp? i know theyre quite heavy and he had a passenger...

and hypereuctectic coated skirt pistons, comp is around 9.8ish
and a 3.73 rear diff

i dont know how much hp i have or torque...

BUT... i was pleased with the result... i didnt win but he sure as hell wasnt gaining quickly... we started racing i got the jump on him by maybe 1/4 second, i was pulling him till i put it in 5th, then he started gaining slowly and passed...

if it was from dig i know he wouldve stomped me... but i still was quite hapy with my car!

Really? Oh well i guess it was wrong where i read that. It still made me feel pretty good we were neck and neck.

Oh and that was the first race ive had in my car since i started driving it. I dunno maybe its not bery impressive but hey, im happy with the result. Maybe itll be faster when someone tunes it properly. Its running rich, i can smell gas all the time.

They are factory rated at 425hp and 420lb-ft for the SRT8. I think you are talking about the regular Hemi 300c.

Well either he was flooring it or his car was incredibly loud. I heard it over my engine and mine is annoyingly loud. But like i said i dunno.

Probably. Well it was all in good fun he gave me a thumbs up and i gave one back. Still, i dont think i did to bad for a cammed 305. But then again i really dont know till i take it to a dyno or track.

interesting thread, I own a 2006 SRT8, its fast. extreme fast gov at 171mph and off gov vids and reports of 186-194mph.
the fastes 1/4 mile at the texas motor plex on street tires is 12.96/ all night i could do 13.10........in the summer.

No doubt a modded car could beat it and maybe yours is very special.

Well the car WAS special... I had to sell it.
I wouldnt have won definately and i did get the jump on him.
But i didnt get stomped... A loss, byt by no means an embarassment.
