for some reason, i think you might notice. 1 the hood wouldn't fit over that motor, 2 it wouldn't sound like ur normal metro. 3 i dont even want to know how much cutting of the firewall would have to be done to fit it in. and 4 not to many metro's have 3" exhaust, or is that 3" to the back of the car?

Psycomaro...
You remind me of a guy that I used to go to school with. He was a few years younger than me, and he would always be doing that what if stuff. I do it quite a bit myself, so I can't complain.
About the only mod that would make any kind of sense with a metro, in my opinion, would be adding one of these engines:
2.5 Iron Duke Inline 4
2.3 Quad 4
2.8 EMPFI
3.1 EMPFI
3.4 EMPFI
3.8 Buick
Why? There are all smaller than a huge v8. Come to think of it, you could add a small v8 there as well...maybe. Also none of them are very loud- from what I have heard. The Duke sounds like a sewing machine with rabies, so it would give the perfect effect of a worn out metro engine. Duke's can be modified. And moving this tiny car would be no problem in the first place. Quads would move the car like a rocket, but they usually have that telltale Quad exhaust. 2.8s may fool someone, except for full throttle where they sound like a video game race car. The other two chevys- I don't know. The 3.8 would really set the car in motion, but it growls. Badly. It would take special exhaust to quiet it down...
But any of this is ridiculous. You want a compact sports car, get an Omega/Monza/Skyhawk/Phoenix. In their day, they were RWD(I believe), and they look cool. In my opinion.

Just imagine if you could build that thing. I know that it is a long shot, but just think of the sleeper effect that would still be there if you put a big cowl hood on it. Even if you had loud exhaust nobody would expect it to have that much power. you would almost need to have alot of stereo equipment in the back to get any traction though.
Get your old brains to think about the potential.
(just a joke no offense)
