Let's put one to rest
Ok guys, let's end some stupidity like only TGO can. I know we have the knowledge and proof here, so I'm coming to pose a question.
Do any of you think a dead STOCK F body with a 350 and 305 injectors and tune can run a 13.6? How about a dead stock 305 doing 13.5? Or, how about a dyno owner saying the said stock TPI would blow his LS camaro away?
Now I know it is all BS and I know the real answers, but apparently the kid really needs to hear it from more than me to shut him up with his lies. He is member 88transam88.
Sorry to bug you guys with this dumb ****, but he's too scared to make his own thread and tell his stories as I've told him to do 100 times now, so I'm holding his hand and doing it for him.

Lol, this dude is such a lying pus*y. He refuses to post up here, and just gonna stick to the whole "it ran that because I said it did" story, with some 4 year old timeslips from anywhere.
Hahahahaha, butt hurt trolls are funny.

ROFL at the implication that a BONE STOCK f-bomb running a 14.2
I'd believe a 14.6 w/ g92 and less then 5000 miles

you gotta remember. Youre car has how many miles? Its in what condition? 277 Peg leg right? Plugs, wires, sensors, etc.. All that makes a difference how a car performs. 14.7-14.2 is what a HEALTHY 89-92 Stock L98 SHOULD run. Its been documented here numerous times throughout the years.

14.7 yes,14.6 yes,14.5 maybe, 14.2??? lmao no. there's a half second difference from
.7 to .2 please inform me how you drop a half second off your time without a single modification.
a low optioned 92 formula 350 on the right track, right DA, when brand new might crack off an odd 14.4-.3 but that's still a mid 14 and it hasn't happened since 96.

my first ever run down the strip WAS a 16.29, 2nd was a 15.7x, 3rd was my fastest of 15.47@90mph.
I could care less if you believed me or not. but I do know that my brothers stock 89 c4 vette would run from 14.2-13.9 and NO thirdgen he ever went up against could touch it
soooo why don't you show me the video of this 13sec stock iroc. don't get me wrong I love the third generation fbody but, they simply are not LOW 14 cars in stock form

No dead stock thirdgens run 13s except firehawks and TTAs.
At the track I have never seen a stock 350 thirdgen run better than a 14.8

Re: Let's put one to rest
My GTA only ran a 14.2 with a superram on it, bigger injectors, muffler, and a tune. Granted, it was a hot *** day, but still.
Either way though, my only argument here is no thirdgen will EVER in its life run a 13.6 with a 350, or a 13.5 with a 305(LMAO) dead stock, PERIOD. I know this and so does 99.5% of the rest of us here, all except this retard out in Vegas with his BS claims and fake timeslips. I just wanted him to hear from more than just me that he was a tard, lol.

I personally witnessed a completely stock 91 Z28 run a 14.2 about 10 yrs ago. And I mean stock, factory paper filters, exhaust, regular street tires. The only thing that wasn't stock were the 17in. IROC rims. It's rare for them to go that fast, but it can happen.

His comments are gone because he got banned for his crap, but you can read the comments that are left and pick up on what was being said by him. If you need witnesses to it all, I can send plenty of them over from there including the admin, as the conversation went on for hours.
You owe me an apology.

one should be bashing someone because of what they claimed or what you say they said. Really it sounds like you just want someone to complain about or to. Why would you even continue to argue with someone for hours? Maybe .And how do we know the person on the face book crap is even the same person you have listed here.

So the person is banned so they can not defend them self, So you can say what ever you want, How nice of you . No I do not owe you an apology, And never will, This thread need to be locked up. I don't think any

He is banned from the GROUP on FB, not here. If he has something to say, he can quit being a pansy and say it, right here. He asked for it to be made, I made it, I linked him to it, he's a bitch. end of story.
That is the username he told me was his, challenged me to make a thread over here and then he'd post in it, but once it was done he bitched out and went on a complete tyrant making post after post flipping out and talking crazy **** about me. I finally said what I had to say in the end after he flipped and walked away by blocking him, but he kept on until he had to be banned, according to the other members who kept watching.
And yes, ANYBODY stupid enough to claim a dead stock F body can do 13.5 with a 305, and then shove it down peoples throats for fact when they all know better, DOES deserve to be called out and made an *** of.
If you want to look him up on fb and ask him what his dead stock TPI runs, his name is Julian Ortiz and he is in Vegas.

Best of 14.57 @ 91.71 & the slips to prove it.
Unfortunately this was not when I owned it - drove to the track, bone stock, street tires, raced, drove home.

Hot Wire Kit
60lb Injectors
LT1 MAF
MAF Translator
TurboTweek Chip
2.1 ScanMaster
Trans Mount
Motor Mounts
And it's all here waiting for me to install. Keep getting pushed for the pump install. THEN I'll make some passes.
I'll be able to take on that 14.2 sec 350 with the 305 injectors!
Boy, I hope I win

Re: Let's put one to rest
1999 I owned my beloved 92Formula WS6 350 and took it to Houston Raceway Park(now royal purple raceway).
I had cut off the cats as they had clogged so it was basically straight manifolds and I pulled the air intake off a put pantyhose over the TB. Ran a 14.2 and 14.1 on an otherwise stock car. Hardtop, 9bolt and brand new 245/50/16Yokohama road huggers. I made 3 passes and drove home on bald tires thanks to my john force style burnouts! ( Gosh I was sooo cool!). That car was a factory freak, and probably had a lot of left over corvette parts as no other TPI car could touch me, let alone the 5.0 guys.
I dread selling the car as it was THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY, but I had to pay for legal fees.
Some people will argue all day, but I've still got a time slip in my tool box. Ahhh now I need a beer.

My 89 Formula 350 ran a 14.5 with street tires and 184k miles, emissions delete, that was it though. not even headers. I cant drive very well either. it wouldnt touch an LS car or an LT car.

Had a stock Lb9 automatic 91 z28 that ran a best of 14.76 on a cool night. It usually hit 14.9s The L98 cars I saw back then slightly modded ran high 13s -low 14s. The few stock L98s I saw ran 14.5-14.6 usually.

Re: Let's put one to rest
A 1997 LT1/Auto F-car went 13.4 @ 102 mph with only a Moroso cold air intake.
I ran deep into the 14s with an internally stock L03.

Re: Let's put one to rest
"Bone stock", "stock motor", etc... These are all relative terms. The definition of "stock" is a matter of opinion. The posts on this thread are proof of how slippery the slope can be....
What is "bone stock"??? My definition would be this:
Total original or OEM factory equipped down to the same plugs/wires/tires/fluids/WEIGHT/options the car came with when it pulled out of the dealership. All of the cars options/emissions and electronics working properly as designed by GM. Tires inflated to the recommended psi. 93 octane gas with no other additives.
I know I sound **** and legalistic. *If* there is a third-gen that fits the description above, I highly doubt it has been down a drag strip. This has to be the black and white standard because the grey area is so debatable...
What if I used different tires? Fluids? took the floor-mats and spare out? might as well unbolt the passenger seat, delete the cats, remove the smog pump and A/C. I wonder if an adjustable fuel pressure regulator would forfeit my "stock" status?? How about good plugs/wires/coil? If that's ok, why not an MSD 6A box? Does a custom tuned PROM count? What if I moved the battery to the trunk and took off the front sway-bar? Sub-frames, drag shocks/struts, drag radials, LCA's, LCARB's, PHB, torque arm and poly-bushings? Cold air induction with a high-flow filter? Underdrive pulleys? Cat-back exhaust with a cut-out for the track? TB coolant bypass trick and relocated the speed density sensor, or modded the MAF sensor? Bump the timing up with a little race gas mix, just for the track? Its only a set of headers...The factory seats were worn out and faded, so I installed these lightweight Jegs sport seats. The red carpet was faded pink and i'm in the process of redoing the interior. That's why the back seats are gone... stock tranny with only a shift-kit and good fluids..... It was dyno test proven that 0 weight synthetic oil was worth 5-10HP? lets try it just once for the track...The intake is totally stock, but I needed to replace the injectors with these nice blueprinted and flow matched set from TPiS... Just a different rear-end ratio, big deal.....
Is the car still stock if it only has a couple of the MODS listed above? Why is one MOD ok to consider stock and not the other? I've done everything I listed above to my car over the last 18 years. I tried every trick in the book (still looking for more tricks), from icing down the intake, to removing the front air-dam because of wind resistance lol. I have over 500 1/4 mile passes over 3 different tracks with near perfect conditions. I grew up with this car. I know I am at the limit. I have yet to try skinnies in front and a true drag slick, but that breaks my personal rule of "stock looking" or real world daily driver lol. My motor has never been opened. From the intake gaskets, to the valve cover gaskets, to the head gaskets, to the oil pan gasket. Original factory everything. It leaks/burns 1 quart oil every 1 thousand miles. 147K and still pulls hard to 5000 RPM but runs out of steam and gear around 130mph. I hit 13.30's a few times. never 13.20's. It will run 13.5-13.6 all day. My vid in sig has complete history. I can technically, and honestly say my car runs low 13's on the factory stock motor without boost or N20...

nitrous 11.87@115 mph...motor 13.32@102 mph
-140,000 miles (driven hard)..stock, untouched L98 (internal), with stock heads and intake.
-best 60' 1.71 on MT Streets and stock converter

Re: Let's put one to rest
13.32 was motor alone with the stock converter and the GM 10 bolt with 4.10 gears. I was running 255/50/16 (broken in) MT drag radials at 18psi on stock wheels. best 60' on motor was low 1.8's . My best nitrous runs were on the same weekend at Tri state Raceway in Earlville IA. 72 degrees on a very nice prepped track with a nice breeze to my back. I had the interior out and the rear spoiler off. The car slowed down a bit when I added the 9" and a mild 2200 stall. I also had some interior back in and the spoiler. I lost about .1 on both nitrous and motor passes.
