My intro
Hey guys, havnt really made a opening post for my account yet, so here it goes. I put this post in the ontario region because I live in Newmarket.
Im a 16 year old kid and decided to buy myself an iroc in the summer. I got it towards the end of summer break so I didnt have much time to work on it before school started. Its a 1990, 350tpi, auto. Being a Canadian car I have run into some pretty harsh rust patches, like the whole driver floor had to be cut out. This picture was taken a few days ago about 5 mins before the great canadian winter decided to show up. I have all the parts to the car, scattered around the basement and my room because i have only half of a 2 car garage to do this project. Anyways, this is my cars current condition

Re: My intro
Way to go, kid. Great choice on the IROC as a starter.
You will learn lessons that will last you a lifetime building that thing. Luckily, sites like this one will help you through it. When I was your age, the only info
I had was an old Chilton manual.
You will get stuck along the way, but there's always an answer. Good luck, and have fun.

Re: My intro
hey brent,
Cars coming along well, just a bit slow now with the cold weather in a non-heated garage. Seems like Im making a mess more then Im making progress. It was sticking out out halfway like that while I was working on my sub box. Yes its running, technically I should give you credit for it running again, it was the fuel pump fuse you showed me, got it running right after I fixed that.
At this point all I still need are the sides of the spoiler that go on the rear quarters, and the driver side tail light

Re: My intro
oh nice. made a box for 2 subs? and good to hear its running. I was only able to help cuz I ran into the same problem myself. lol. I'm pretty sure I have those pieces somewhere in the garage. I'm just not to certain about the tail light. I know I sold one side already but I dont remember which side it was. I do have 2 sets of Z28 tails but I'm sure your not interested in them. I'll take a look when I get a chance and shoot you a pm.

Awesome man, cool project. I'm not too far, in this part of Ontario as well. Got my first project this year as well, 82 z28, 305 carb'd and I've never had more fun with a car. Good luck with everything, maybe I'll see you at the 3rd gen swaps

Re: My intro
I find Ancaster good for clips, bolts, rims (certain kinds), paint ($5 engine enamel and trim spray paint) and sound deadener, among other things.
"Zddrguy" and I were there a few years back with two trucks full of 3rd gen parts.
It can be hit or miss but that's what swap meets are all about.
