What was the weather like? Was it comparable? Give the details of both runs, 60ft, 1/8, 1/4.

what tires did you get? they can make a huge differance. I found that the gsc goodyears were the worst tire I had ever put on the car they are such a hard tire they can't grip well. it seems like the cheaper the tire (usually softer) the better the traction to a point. get too cheap and you are back to were you started. all you end up with are smokers. the last set I put on are the nittos drag radial and at first they seemed kinda close but, when you race they make a huge huge differance. they spin just as easy but, hook a lot quicker.

I have never had a problem like that from deleting the CAT, I did it on my old 85 TA and the 89, both had positive results at the track.

Try switching out that Hypertech chip with the stock EPROM. You might be getting knock retard which is forcing your car to lower your timing a few degrees... That's the only thing I can think of that would be causing such weak times. Although maybe your car just wasn't ment to go fast as it is???
