I'm running the accel intake. I had to do some minor (and I mean VERY minor) grinding on the runners to fit within the flat machined area of the intake base. It was a total of about 5 minutes worth of work. The holes in the base lined up perfectly to the gaskets, which is more than I can say for the runners.

SLP runner suck, quality for them is just horrible. But any base should work for them, accel, as&m, TPIS, Edelbrock.

For what they cost, I'm not at all upset about their quality. They are well cast, and have enough material to port the crap out of them. Other than the ports not aligning perfectly with the gaskets, I think they are great. Since you should be port-matching anyway, I considered that to be a non issue.

They may not be perfect, but at 1/2 the price of every other runner out there, I'm very happy with them.

It was just the ones I got that have completely turned me off of SLP runners. If you havn't seen the post I put up with pictures, it was like they cast the walls to thin on one runner and had holes, so they tried to patch it up and sell it to me. I wasn't impressed.
