Replacing Fuel Lines/Deleting CSI

Hey Guys,

Just finishing off replacing my injectors on my '86 305 Tpi.

While I am working on the fuel system I am going to replace my badly corroded Fuel Lines (feed & return) that run underneath most of the length of the car.

Does anybody know if I will need any "O" Rings for either end (4 ends in total) of the replacement lines.

I am going to order the standard GM fuel lines and wondered if the GM lines come with them on etc?

Also considering deleting my Cold Start Injector. What would I need to do this?

I guess I will need some sort of Threaded Blanking Plug for the Fuel Rail end, what size plug/ thread will I need and what would I need to ensure a "Fuel Tight" seal.

And the best way of sealing the Inlet Manifold side where the CSI fits into.

Any help or advise appreciated.

Well you would need aprom for the 305 ....that doesn't contain the ninth injector ..... I am not sure if they deleted it in 88 or 89 .....

with the new prom ( others I am sure will corect me ) you might be above to just unplug the ninth injector and be done with it

..... I am sure others will help you .... don't do nothing untill you have heard from others here ....I am just guessing here

good luck to ya

There are a few ways to delete the CSI. You can buy a full delete kit that comes with a plug for the runners and a cap for the fuel rail. The cheapest way is to just unplug the CSI and leave it there.

If you get different runners, like a Super Ram or 89-92 style runners, then you can just buy a cap for the fuel rail.

Fuel Line O Rings

Thanks for the replies so far

Sounds to me that the way forward is to simply leave the CSI in position without being connected

Anybody replaced their fuel lines who can advise me on if there are any "O" Ring seals required etc.

Thanks again
