need PN for temp gauge sender pigtail
To better describe.
My buddy has corrected most of the problems introduced by "professional mechanics" who installed his new headers, cat, and cat back.
He has one final issue
On the drivers side head is a temperature sensor that sends info to the temperature gauge.
This sensor has a 1 prong connector out the back. Hanging down in his engine bay is 1 wire with a spade lug on it. The wire is green.
We believe that the numnuts lost the pigtail from the spade lug to the temperature sensor.
Will someone with acces to the Camaro illustrated parts guide please tell us the GM part number for that pigtail? (dealers say huh?)
Also, if anyone has a photo of this sensor all connected like the General intended, or a picture of the secondary fan swith (psgr side head) all connected like the General intended ...would you please post it.
Both of these are 1 wire sensors. BUT every time he goes to the dealer they want to put a 2 wire sensor in the discussion.
now he also asks can we get him PN's for all 2 sensors and both pigtails.
HELP

The reason that they go "HUH" is because the whole wire assembly is no longer available. The item is now sold as a wire that must be spliced into the old wire. The plastic piece that goes over the spade connector is still available but only comes in packs of ten. I have seen several of these wires laying in junkyards and think that there are several other GM cars that use the same wire assembly.

I went to GM and inquired a price for the pigtail, they said $20. I said, "Does that come with KY?" He said "huh?" And instead went to the wrecking yard and got it for a five finger discount. F#$ck GM and there over priced crap.
