adding emissions wires to painless harness
Has anyone used the painless harness and added the necessary emissions connection wires to it? I see that painless has the "emissions eq" harness, but I haven't gotten a reply back as to what all it connects to. I'm not afraid of doing wiring it's just the time factor. Looking for a little cheaper solution than the $450 Howell harness. Most of what I've found in the salvage yards has been hacked to death already. 92 tbi to TPI. thanks, AL

I could build you a brand new TPI harness that will plug into your factory harness at the I/P connector under the dash. You'll have to splice about 4 wires to the wires coming out of the bulkhead connector on the driver side firewall...mostly gauges wiring.
As far as I can tell, the Painless TPI emissions harness is designed for the 86 and older emissions components. I could include the wiring for your emissions components.
I could alternatively rewire your factory harness for TPI to simply plug back in to your car. If your car has a VSS buffer, you'll have to reroute the VSS wires for the speedometer, but that's about as complicated as it'll get.
I've been doing this for a few years...if you're interested, feel free to contact me privately. mike@s10wildside.com
