Re: cheap power?
start with the basics like..
porting the plinum and base. (there's a article in the tech section of the site)
discreen the MAF. (same as above)
and adjustable fuel pressure reg. any of them work well.
headers, trust me its worth the money to get the headers with the Ypipe(SLP,hooker..)
i think you should be happy with that
youll notice the most coming out of the porting and headers

Re: cheap power?
+roller rockers are also a very nice gain if u step it up to 1.6 ratio.
easy 15hp throughout the powerband unlike exhaust and cai which mostly benefit certain ranges of your powerband.
you can go as cheap as 180 for full roller rockers in a 1.6 ratio for centerbolt self aligning heads.
anyways my opinion would be exhaust and intake first always then play with the internals. you seem to have a good cai and exhaust except headers so you have to make the choice between 200$ dolland less work or 350$ + and more work for headers and a y pipe. Both will probably close to the same s.o.t.p feel(rocker isntall is about 1 hr or so max imo, but, i dont do it the book way as ive tried numerous times d it never works out.

Re: cheap power?
What is your definition of "cheap"? Power cost, how fast do you want to go?
The adjustable regulator isnt a bad idea for cheap. The rest you seem to already have done.
Learn how to make your own chip/prom, and play with that tell you build the new motor.
Ive never seen rockers give 15hp. True full rollers will help the engine rev up more.
The rest of the stuff is above 150 bux, and is pointless if a rebuild/replacement is in the future.

Re: cheap power?
I would say save all your money for that 350 and by then youll have more money saved because you didnt buy parts for your 305, and then maybe you can make it a 383 stroker with the extra money you saved. Or just build a nice 350.
