No volts at the pump.
Car is an 86 IROC 305 TPI. In the middle of TPI-carb swap. I undid most of the wiring upfront, and was going to wire my pump to a switch. I turned the key and didn't here it prime. ot under the car and probed the wires no voltage at the pump. I am getting everywhere else, guages etc but none at the pump. i bumped the key and it turns over still. Where is the fuel pump relay located? Where should i begin to check. Checked the fuse and its good. What could i have unplugged that i lost my pump voltage?

Re: No volts at the pump.
The fuel pump is controlled by the ECM. If you removed the ECM or part of the wiring, it won't be able to control the fuel pump relay (that's located in the engine bay, on the firewall, in the corner by the brake booster).
If your oil pressure fuel switch is working, you can keep cranking until you build up oil pressure and the switch will turn on the fuel pump. But that really requires a few seconds of cranking.
Locate the fuel pump relay (will have the following wires: orange, orange, tan/white, green/white, black/white) and put 12V on the green/white wire. If you feel the relay click and hear the pump run, your fuel pump circuit is good. Then you should find out why the ECM can't turn on the fuel pump through the green/white wire.
Hope this helps.

Re: No volts at the pump.
If you are planning on using the TPI fuel pump, the fuel pressure will be WAY too high for a carb. Not sure is a fuel pressure regulator could get it low enough, for a carb.

Re: No volts at the pump.
I ended up finding it at abot midnight. I ran 12volts to it, it runs. I can regulate the pump down to whatever i want. I have a FPR set to 7psi out of the box. I think 9psi oughta work.
