L31 Vortec head and 91 TPI Manifold

This question has been asked many times, but will the L31 Vortec heads work with my 91 TPI manifold. 305 engine. I'm kind of confused because Jim Pace has a set of L31's drilled and tapped for PRE-86 heads, so this means my 91 TPI manifold will both up??? Right or wrong???

No, they will not work. The intake port is taller than the older style manifolds. Scoggin-Dickey Chevrolet is suppose to be coming out with a TPI intake that will match. I don't know what good it will do to have a head that is drilled for older manifolds, when the intake ports won't line up. Some one let me know if I am wrong.
