Question about Vortec heads
Alright fellows I don't mean to beat a dead horse here, why won't a regular tpi bolt up to them, and my question will edelbrock, one work? Cause its set up for old and new style heads right?

Its the bolt pattern, check out this vortec head
this is a stock camaro head
Notice the bolts sit high and more spread out on the vortec. They sit too high up to just drill the old TPI base. Also the vortec has higher ports they don't line up with the older style intake. Nothing other than the Vortec base will base will work, I even explored the idea of a LT1 intake.

it can be done i can even maske the lt1 work I use to do this for tpi cars long before the sdpc tpi vortec base was around it a super esy mod to do and if you can weld or have some one who can its cheap to do.

Just for got to say for those that dont belive me my car runns just fine it has fast burn heads and a modified stock tpi base i have ordered a sdpc base to do some dyno test with and hopfully get more power out of my car. after the test I may di the lt1 swap and see how it does but I hate to lose the money i have in the long runner tpi set up when i get this base i will have the sdpc base with slp runners 52mm tb 30lb injectors and adj fuel reg. dont think I could sell it all for enough to do the change and I would be a little unhappy if i only gaind 5 horses or some small #.
