Noisy GearDrive for Roller

Hey guys.
I want to get a noisy gear drive for my 350. I can't find any that are machined for noisy and for roller engines. Does anybody know of any?
Also, the added noise, will it affect any sensors, say the knock sensor? Any other adverse effects of this I should consider?
thanx in advance.

Best with 2.8-17.4@77mph
Best with 305-15.0@93mph
Best with 356-13.7@101mph
on a 2.050 60 ft.

Many people have run the quiet gear drives with no false knock problems to speak of. I don't recall offhand any comments about noisy gear drives w/ knock sensor cars (flat tappet) or or noisy drives for roller block engines.
If you don't get any responses, try a search

I'm not aware of any noisy gear drives for roller cam blocks. IMO the quiet one is plenty noisy.

Noisy gear drives DO affect your knock sensor, and will create false knock situations.

I had the DynaGear noisy gear drive in my 84 406 Monte SS & loved it...drove it almost daily & never grew tired of it...I'm going to use a gear drive in my next engine but haven't seen a noisy one for roller motors. Would it be possible when programming a new chip to get rid of the knock sensor?

Thanx guys.
I think I'll go with the quiet one then, I'm not looking for a huge whine, but a small one would be nice, and it sounds like the quiet drive will deliver that. I was under the impression that the quiet drives had no noise at all.

ED1le-you don't want to get rid of your knock sensor, maybe desensitize it, but it is a good safety to have.

They currently do not make a noisy gear drive for a roller cam.

I have been driving my car since 97 with a Pete Jackson quiet gear drive and I love it...

No false knocks either... That is just a myth....

i've heard that a gear drive transfers the vibrations to the valve train, is there anytruth in that?

I'd say theres alot of truth in that, theres *almost* no way for any of the crankshaft movements to be absorbed by the setup. The Pete Jackson setup at least has a slight amount of movement that could absorb some of the harmonics before it gets to the cam although I cant say for sure if it makes it to the valves or not. Thats the story why racers with lots of extra cash use belt drives instead.

When my valvetrain fails (if ever), Ill take a look at it.

Would you guys recommend the gear drives for a daily driven 350 TPI with moderate mods?(valve train ware) Or would it be better off on a weekend racer TPI?

Ive gone to Pete Jacksons website and looked into getting a gear drive for my 88 TPI 350 and they had mentioned that they dont recommned running a gear drive on computer controlled engines. Should I be worried about this? Sorry for the 'rookie' type questions guys but I need to know since Im also interested in getting one myself.

Question 1: Why do you want one?

Question 2: There isnt one

The standard response is that it will set off the knock sensor on a computer controlled car. I have no problems, neither does Willie, and there are some other people who have not had problems as well... this is with the "quiet" drive. I have yet to hear of someone with a problem. I cant speak for the noisy one though.
