l98 losing spark

been losing spark or getting weak spark.

replaced the distributor it self, pick up module, control module, cap and rotor, plugs and wires.

but it doesn't bog out any more but sometimes it runs good and sometimes it doesn't.

when its running good when you take corners or crank it up it starts really running crap.

takes long to start up too.

my question is what else should i check besides the coil. that's my next step.

thanks its a 90 Pontiac firebird with the 350 tpi

Why do you think it's an ignition problem? Have you checked your fuel pressure?

i know its losing spark. you can smell the fuel and when your behind the car you can smell unburnt fuel /fresh fuel. runs kinda good or runs really bad at times.

Re: l98 losing spark

yeah that's what i have. the connector for the coil doesn't have enough wire on it to fix it.

i wish it was just the coil. cheap and easy to swap out.
