can i ditch the egr??

as the title says guys!! i dont have a cat or air pump any more and the emissions regs in the UK are not as strict as they are in the US. im on the verge of getting a new intake manifold that may or may not have prvisions for and egr valve so i just want to know what you guys would recomend, whether to ditch the egr or what? thanks peeps!

You can, but your CE light will be on. It doesn't hurt anything. It only opens at part throttle and lowers combustion temps (less prone to pinging).

trash the egr!!!!! have a chip burned to disable the air pump ,purge solenoid,and egr and that will handle the engine light.
i reccomend you check this site and give him a call.very good with gm injection.

If you get a manifold that has an EGR port let me know. I have some block-off plates and gaskets.
