rtv, gasket sealer or assemble dry?

Have to remove the intake on my 1988 GTA. I screwed up when originally installing and the rtv, at the rear of the intake, is leaking badly. So I purchased a new Felpro intake kit and I am getting ready to tackle this AGAIN. I know that the rtv is the best plan for the front and rear intake to block surfaces and it is a good idea to apply a bead of rtv at the water jackets. What about the rest of the gasket surfaces ( intake to heads, runners to intake and plenum)? A good cleaning of the surfaces with lacquer thinner and assemble dry or apply some gasket sealer or a thin bead of rtv? I dont want to have to go back in there again and I know these surfaces are prone to vacuum leaks. I have gasket sealer and both black and grey rtv.

Use the Black RTV at the front and rear of the intake. Use a smear of the Grey around the water jackets, and on the plenum gaskets top and bottom, both sides.

OK, sounds like a plan. I will give it a try. Thanks

Re: rtv, gasket sealer or assemble dry?

Good point. I only purchase sensor safe rtv. Everything I presently drive has sensors.
