Header gasket problem

I have recently discovered the reason my header gaskets are leaking. It appears the head ports are square(Trick flow heads) and my header ports are oval(Hooker). These items were installed by the previous owner so it took me a while to figure out why the gaskets kept leaking. What is the best way to improve this seal other than replacing the heads/headers? I've thought about removing the headers and grinding off the ridge around the opening and/or using copper gaskets with Permatex ultra copper to seal. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Header gasket problem

It depends if the oval is bigger than the square or vice-versa

The oval headers are bigger on the top and sides. It's the corners that are the problem. The oval of the header doesn't cover the square corner of the head.
