I have an 82 3rd gen car with a vortec motor in it with hooker 2210 headers on it and it's impossible to get the #8 spark plug in without cutting about 1/4" off the terminal. That OK for that car but I have a 2nd 82 3rd gen fbody car that I'm building and it has a tubular k-member so I have some extra room. My question is has anybody here ever had this spark plug problem and used a header that wasn't made specifically for an 3rd gen fbody? A truck header or whatever.

Re: Headers
The headers will bolt right up. then bolt the pieces of the y pipe to them.
I believe you will have to do some fabing on the y pipe to get it to attach to your existing
exhaust.
